Paints Add Outfielder Alex Monile from FSCJ

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The back-to-back Prospect League champion Chillicothe Paints, presented by CohenOrthopedic, have signed outfielder Alex Monile for the upcoming 2024 season, which begins May 28.

Currently in his freshman season at Florida State College at Jacksonville, Monile has already played in 24 games, hitting .362 with five doubles, one home run and 16 RBIs over 80 at-bats. The Tampa, Fla. native has also scored 19 runs and has walked eight times versus four strikeouts, while carrying an on-base percentage of .469.

The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Monile is a graduate of Calvary Christian School in Tampa, where where he helped the Warrios to a 28-4 record in 2023, while hitting .349 for a team that finished 7th in the nation. Monile was named to the Pinellas County All-Star Team and was rated as a "High Follow" by Perfect Game in the 2023 class. Monile won a District Championship in 2022 and Florida State Championship in 2023.
