Ohio State's Clay Burdette Signs With Paints

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The back-to-back Prospect League champion Chillicothe Paints, presented by CohenOrthopedic, have signed infielder Clay Burdette for the upcoming 2024 season, which begins May 28.

Burdette is currently in his freshman season at The Ohio State University, where he mainly plays first base.

A Cincinnati, Ohio native, Burdette is a graduate of baseball powerhouse Archbishop Moeller High School, where he was a three-year letterwinner and helped his team to the 2023 OHSAA Division I State Championship and was named a Second-Team All-American after hitting .360 with four home runs and 28 RBIs as a senior.

The Chillicothe Paints open the home portion of their schedule Thursday, May 30, at VA Memorial Stadium against the Johnstown Mill Rats at 7:05 p.m. Draft beer will be just $2 for Thirsty Thursday. For advertising and season ticket information, visit ChillicothePaints.com.
