Paints Add Ohio State Pitcher Noah Williamson

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The back-to-back Prospect League champion Chillicothe Paints, presented by CohenOrthopedic, have signed pitcher Noah Williamson for the upcoming 2024 season, which begins May 28. 

Currently a junior at The Ohio State University, Williamson has appeared in six games this spring for the Buckeyes, striking out six batters in 6 2/3 innings.

Prior to tranferring to Ohio State, the right-handed pitcher played two seasons of JUCO ball at Allegheny College of Maryland, where he was named a 2022 JUCO first-team All-American, first-team All-Region and first-team All-Conference. Williamson led the country that season with eight complete games and had the fifth-best ERA in the nation at 1.66. In his JUCO career, he struck out 146 batters in 146 innings of work, threw 14 complete games and owned a career ERA of 3.26.

A Port Matilda, Pa. native, Williamson is a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School.

Williamson joins Buckeye teammates Ben Schechterman and Clay Burdette on the Paints roster for this season.
