Paints Sign Catcher Trevor Coltenback

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The back-to-back Prospect League champion Chillicothe Paints, presented by CohenOrthopedic, have signed catcher Trevor Coltenback for the upcoming 2024 season, which begins May 28. 

Currently a junior at Kean University, Coltenback is hitting .268 with four doubles and 12 RBIs in 23 games, including 15 starts. Defensively, Coltenback has been solid, only commiting three errors this season.

March 10, Coltenback went 1-3 with a pair of RBIs against no. 2 nationally-ranked Denison. He's also collected five mulit-hit games this spring.

Prior to attending and playing at Keane this spring, Coltenback played at NJCAA Ocean County College for two seasons, amassing a .365 average with four home runs and 54 RBIs. In his sophomore season in 2023, the catcher hit .425 over 36 games, with 10 doubles, four triples, four home runs and 36 RBIs, while reaching base nearly 50 percent of the time.

A Pine Beach, N.J., native, Coltenback is a graduate of Central Regional High School.
