Paints Homer Four Times In 14-6 Win Over Dubois County

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The Chillicothe Paints, presented by CohenOrthopedic, homered three times in a 14-6 win over the Dubois County Bombers Sunday at VA Memorial Stadium.

Eric Colaco got it started with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first, putting the Paints (19-10) in front 2-0.

After Dubois County plated a run in the top of the second, Colaco knocked two more home in the bottom half, making it 4-1.

The Bombers again answered, scoring twice in the top of the third, cutting the Chillicothe lead to 4-3.

In the bottom of the third, Clay Burdette hit a two-run home run, extending the Paints' lead to 6-3.

Dubois County tied it with three runs in the top of the fourth, tying the game at 6-6.

Chillicothe would score the final eight runs of the game, plating five in the bottom of the fifth on an error and sacrifice flies from Tim Orr and Colaco. Burdette opened the sixth with a triple, scoring on an errant throw to third. Charlie Scholvin and Orr followed with back-to-back solo home runs, capping the scoring at 14-6

The Paints finish the first half 19-10 and Northeast Division First-Half Champions, clinching a playoff spot at the end of the season.
